The rooms at Ananda are infused with natural Himalayan light, designed to imbibe the feel of the mountains. Built on a mountain ridge, the guest rooms offer breathtaking view of the valley and the city of Rishikesh or the Palace. The rooms have been designed in a minimalist and holistic fashion with wooden floors offset by essential furniture, walk- in closet and well-lit marble bathrooms with sunken bathtub facing bay windows offering exquisite views. One of the main features of the rooms is the independent patio balcony with breath taking view of the Himalayas, where one can relax or even practice Yoga.

SPA TREATMENTS
The range of skin care includes moisturisers, exfoliating creams, hair care products and shower gels. All these products have been created with pure herbal ingredients and with the gentlest care in mind. Pure herbal distillates, essential oils, plant extracts, crushed flowers, roots and barks have been blended together to create unique formulations. Ma Anandamayi Abode - Renowned spiritual figure around the world, Ma Anandamayi was respected for her propagation of universal love. The Maharaja of Tehri Garhwal made a very special abode for Ma Anandamayi and being a highly spiritual person, invited her to bless his Palace with her presence. The Abode is a preferred venue for personal meditation.

The Music Pavilion - A majestic open-air marbled floor shelter with gold leaf ceiling fresco, surrounded by a still and peaceful water pool at the south end of the expansive Palace Lawn, the intimate setting receives the best sunset views and is ideal for individual instruction or private meditation.

Viceregal Hall - Once the recreation hall for the guests of the Maharaja, this impressive wood floored room with a 15-foot tall ceiling, is the largest in the spa. Nestled atop a Sal Tree valley, this space is ideal for the more active forms of Yoga.

Board Room II - Glassed on four sides, this intimate indoor setting commands impressive panoramic views atop the Viceregal Palace roof.

Winter Garden - Adjacent to the Ma Anandamayi Abode, this outdoors area overlooks a dense grove of Sal Trees. The tranquil presence of the spiritual leader enhances the experience.

The gastronomic experience at the Restaurant offers a delectable Spa Cuisine menu, in addition to an unbeatable fare of India, European, Oriental and World cuisine.The menu highlights the philosophy of better living, by providing food enriched with the vivid flavour of organic vegetables and herbs. The Restaurant is built in a grove of old Sal trees, overlooking the valley of Rishikesh, thereby enhancing your sensual journey.

Wireless internet connectivity is provided in the rooms for guests wishing to use their personal Laptops. Laptops are also available for use from the Front Office on request.


HOW TO REACH
Located just 260 kilometers north of New Delhi, Ananda is easily accessible by road, rail and air. A 45 minute flight to Jolly Grant airport, a 4 hour train journey from Delhi to Haridwar station and a scenic 5 hour drive from New Delhi to Ananda are the various travel options. Whatever your mode of transport, the raw, natural landscape is sure to leave you with a perfect taste of India.

The closest international airport to Ananda is New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. Domestic airlines fly from Delhi's Palam Airport to Dehradun's Jolly Grant Airport. Flights operate on all days. The duration of the flight is fifty minutes. Pick up service to Ananda is provided on request.

From Dehradun, you take a 45 minute drive through the picturesque Rajaji Wildlife Santuary before reaching Ananda.
