Gurudongma House is located 3 kms from Kalimpong town center, away from the pollution, and noise of the town, in the exclusive hilltop locality, the house commands breathtaking views of the panorama of snows, dominated by Khangchendzonga – the third highest peak in the world.

The house nestles in a clump of pines, with a terraced nature garden rising to the rocky outcrop at the top of the hill. The natural landscape has been retained. The view rivals Tiger Hill (near Darjeeling). Sunrise and sunset views can simply be described as breathtaking.

ACCOMMODATION

The house offers only four exclusive guestrooms. Guests are personally hosted by General "Jimmy Singh", and are cared for by trained ethnic staffs, which provide spontaneous personalized service. The floor, walls and ceilings are in old polished wood. Rooms are furnished for simple comfort.

SERVICES & FACILITIES
Gurudongma House serves home cooked food, presented with elegance. Carefully researched interactive cuisine comprises a blend of Indian, Nepali, Chinese, Sikkimese, and Western recipes. The table service strives to be immaculate and graceful. Interesting conversation, is a part of all meals.

The secluded nature garden is a haven to relax, just laze around and watch the birds and butterflies.

The house has a unique ambience. The lounge and dining area has old wooden floors, rafters and ceiling. Furnishing is in traditional weaves Dining is an experience. The table service is immaculate, and oil lamp, and candle lit dinners are the norm.

Modern toilets and plumbing has been provided. There is no electricity. A combination of solar energy, and lanterns are used for lighting. The water is piped from natural springs by gravity. Cooking is done on solar cookers and gas. The staff is locally recruited and trained in-house, to cater for spontaneous personalized service. Guests are cared for in the best traditions of Indian hospitality.
