Brijraj Bhawan is the current residence of the
Maharao of Kotah and his family. The Royal family resides in one half of the
building, while the other half has been turned into an exclusive hotel. It
was opened as a hotel in 1964, and hence is one of the earliest heritage
hotels. The Royal family personally looks after the running of the hotel,
thus giving it a homely touch.
Brijraj Bhawan is located on the banks of river Chambal and commands a
magnificent view. Most of the rooms have a river view. Beautiful terrace
gardens and plenty of trees and shrubs lure wide variety of birds, thus
making it an ornithologist’s paradise! One can sit on the terraced gardens
and savour the breathtaking sunsets over the river or simply sit and observe
the farmers and villagers on the opposite bank go about their daily chores.

ACCOMMODATION
Brijraj Bhawan offers four double rooms, two suites and one single room.
Both the suites have a river view, and all bedrooms have beautiful period
furniture dating back to the Raj. The rooms have an excellent blend of
comfort and elegance, and most rooms have a river view.
Bedrooms have attached modern bathrooms, which have running hot and cold
water. All bathrooms have a bathtub. All bedrooms are equipped with AC,
Cable TV, and Telephone with international access.
