name of Arthur Gordon, one time owner of Gordon House, who landed at ‘The
Gateway of India’ to seek his fortune. His larger than life personality,
great sense of humor and rugged good looks made him the city’s most eligible
bachelor. Arthur Gordon was a pioneer and a visionary, with a passion for
Art, who lived life on his own terms. He may no longer be with us, but his
spirit lives on. The Gordon House Hotel in Mumbai is a tribute to the great
man.
