Munnar is an amazing hill station, famous for its
incredibly attractive natural beauty. The main highlights are the awe
inspiring environment, lush green tea gardens, beautiful lakes, thick
forests and the friendly people. It is located in the eastern part of Kerala
at the influence of three mountain streams, Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and
Kundala. It is surrounded by about 30 ravishing tea gardens. Munnar is
situated at 1600 mts. above sea level, near Anaimudi, the highest peak of
the Kerala Western Ghats. Situated at the influence of three mountain

TO REACH
By Air - Kochi is just 130 kms from Munnar. It has an International airport,
so it is well connect to the major cities of like chennai, delhi, mumbai,
banglore, hyderabad.
By Rail - Nearest Railhead is Kochi i.e 130kms, it is well connected to
other cities by regular and express trains.
By Road - Roads are in good condition and well connected to he other major
cities of the state. You can take Kerala state Transport buses or private
deluxe coaches.

The tourist destinations of Munnar abound in beautiful
landscapes and cool pleasant atmosphere in and around it. Besides tea
and other plantations, the old-world charm of Colonial establishments
attracts visitors to this place all the year round.

Pothamedu - Situated at a distance of around 6 km
from the town, Pothamedu is one of the major plantation hubs of Munnar.
Views of coffee, tee, and cardamom plantations are excellent from here.
It is also an ideal place for trekking and hiking amidst lush mountains,
rolling hills, and breathtaking scenery.

Pallivasal - A place of immense scenic beauty,
Pallivasal is situated around 8 km from Munnar. It has the distinction
of being home to the first hydropower project in Kerala.

Attukal - The place is highly rejuvenating with
its panoramic waterfalls and rolling hills. An ideal place for long
trekking, Attukal is situated between Munnar and Pallivasal.

Devikulam - An idyllic hill station, near Munnar,
Devikulam is an out-of-the-world experience among exotic flora and
fauna, cool mountain air, and velvet lawns. The Sita Devi Lake situated
here is an ideal picnic spot with its picturesque surroundings, mineral
water, and trout-fishing facilities.

Nyayamakad - An excellent picnic and trekking
point, Nyayamakad is situated at a distance of 10 km from Munnar near
Rajamala. Nyayamakad is a land of scintillating waterfalls with water
cascading down from a height of around 1,600 metres.

Chithirapuram - Once the favorite of the British,
this small hill station exudes an old-world charm with its old
playgrounds and courts, bungalows, and sleepy little cottages. Situated
at a distance of around 10 km from Munnar, Chithirapuram is home to
Pallivasal hydel power project.

Echo Point - Here, you can come across natural
echo phenomenon. It is situated at a distance of around 15 km from
Munnar on the way to Top Station.

Munnar has few good restaurants which serves regional and Indian delicacies.
You can try out the special multi-cuisine restaurants at the luxury hotels.
Also try the early morning food stalls in the bazaar which serve excellent
breakfast snacks.
Hotel Hajrath, located in the produce bazaar, serves vegetarian food.
Aiswarya Restaurant has a wonderful picturesque view and a standard menu.
