DETAILED ITINERARY |

DAY 01 COCHIN - MUNNAR
On arrival at Cochin we drive to Munnar (approx. 3 hrs/130
kms)- This beautiful hill station is in the Western Ghats of
Kerala's Idukki district, 5000 meter's above sea level. Check
into the hotel. Rest of the day is free to explore the town
which is meant for walking or cycling.

DAY 02 MUNNAR
This morning we visit Mettupetty- a quaint little place famous
as a local picnic spot, Devikulam-a little hill station where
the famous Sita Devi lake is situated famous for trout
fishing, Eravikulam National Park- home of the famous near
extinct Nilgiri Tahr (a type of mountain goat) & top station.
Visitors can go upto Rajamala. Evening is free for leisure. |

DAY 03
MUNNAR - THEKKADY ( Periyar Wild Life Santuary)
This morning after an early breakfast we drive to Periyar (
approx. 4 hrs/140 kms)- South India's most popular tiger
reserve located at an altitude of 3300 feet about sea level.
On arrival check into the hotel. Evening is free for personal
activities

DAY 04 THEKKADY
Today we visit the famous Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary- which
is spread over 777 sq. km roughly half of which is dense
evergreen forest, cavannah grassland & moist deciduous forest.
The lake itself is an artificial lake. The best chances of
spotting wildlife is in the morning or in the late
afternoon/early evening. Overnight at the hotel.

DAY 05 THEKKADY - KUMARAKOM
After an early breakfast drive to Kumarakom/Allepy (approx. 4
hrs/ 145 kms)- Venice of the east, the famous backwater region
of Kerala .On arrival check into the hotel. Evening is free
for personal activities

DAY 06 KUMARAKOM
The entire day is free to enjoy the backwaters of Kumarakom/Allepy.
Rest of the Day is free for personal activities. |

DAY 07
KUMARAKOM - KOVALAM
After breakfast we drive to Kovalam (approx. 4-5 hrs/170 kms.)-
one of the most beautiful beaches of the world (16 km long).
On arrival check into the hotel. The rest of the day is free
to relax on Kovalam beach and enjoy water sports or simply
laze around.

DAY 08
KOVALAM
After an early breakfast depart for a full day excursion trip
to Kanyakumari (2 hrs/87 kms) . The lands end of India, where
the 3 oceans meet. Famous for its sunrise and sunsets, the
rock where Swami Vivekananda mediated is where a new temple
has been built.

DAY 09
KOVALAM - TRIVANDRUM
Today we leave for Trivandrum (13 kms) to catch your
connection (rail/air) back home. |
