Location - Rajasthan is the largest
state of the Republic of India in terms of area. It borders Pakistan to the
west, Gujarat to the southwest, Madhya Pradesh to the southeast, Uttar
Pradesh and Haryana to the northeast and Punjab to the north. Rajasthan
covers an area of 342,239 kmē.
Tourism - Rajasthan is incredibly
attractive when it comes to tourism. Every third tourist that comes to India
moves to Rajasthan. Rajasthan has an incredible magic which makes people
spell blinded and stay there for a long time to enjoy the memorable
experience.
The state capital is Jaipur. Geographical features include the Thar Desert
in western Rajasthan and the termination of the Ghaggar River. One of the
world's oldest mountain ranges, the Aravalli Range, cradles the only hill
station of Rajasthan, Mount Abu, and its world famous Dilwara Temples.
Eastern Rajasthan has two national tiger reserves, Ranthambore and Sariska,
as well as Keoladeo National Park near Bharatpur, famous for its bird life.

Ajmer
:: The city of Ajmer is famous as a pilgrimage site. It
houses the Dargah or tomb of the popular 13th-century Sufi Saint, Hazrat
Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chisti. Millions of pilgrims from all over the world
throng Ajmer to attend the death anniversary of this great saint every year.
Alwar
:: Alwar contains many interesting and historical monuments.
The city has a beautiful lake and a picturesque valley. The Sariska National
Sanctuary is located in the Aravalli hills only a few kilometres away from
Alwar.
Bharatpur
:: Bharatpur is small city located in the eastern Rajasthan,
it was founded in 1733 AD by Maharaja Suraj Malji, it is named after the
brother of Lord Rama called "Bharat", the city played an important part in

Bikaner
:: Bikaner is a beautiful city located on the edge of Thar
desert, in the Northern Rajasthan. It is famous for the old Havelies and
world's largest Camel Research Farm.
Jaipur
:: Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan and is a perfect holiday
destination with its range of tourist spots and easy accessibility. It was
the first well planned and designed city of India. The whole city is painted
with a special shade pink colour and is popular know as the pink city.
Jaisalmer
:: Jaisalmer is a small desert city of the Thar desert, but it is
immensely beautiful and world famous. This lovely city will reminds you of
the Arabian nights. Every third foreign tourist lands to Jaisalmer &
thousands of domestic tourists come here to experience the magic of Desert
and feel the real Rajasthan.
Jodhpur :: Jodhpur, the sun city is the second
largest city of Rajasthan. It is also know as the blue city, due the lovely
houses painted with blue colour. Sun can be seen here in every season so it
is also called Sun city.
Karauli
:: Karauli is a holy city. Karauli was strongly fortified by its
rulers. The city is surrounded by a wall of red sandstone strengthened by
bastions at several places.
Kumbhalgarh
:: Kumbhalgarh is a stunning fortress built by Rana Kumbha in 15th
century. The fort has perimeter walls that extend 36 kilometres in length.
Claimed to be the longest in the world after "The Great Wall of China".
Mandawa
:: Mandawa is capital of the Shekhawati region of
Rajasthan. Mandawa is world famous for its heritage Havelies and colourful

Mount
abu
:: Mount Abu is a beautiful place, the famous and only hill
station of Rajasthan. It is located in the southern part of the beautiful
Aravali ranages.
Nathdwara
:: Nathdwara, means the gate of God. It is the most
renowned pilgrim of India. Nathdwara is located on the banks of Benas river
just 48 kms ahead of Udaipur. Nathdwara is also famous for the Pichhwai
paintings - the most famous Rajasthani art. This art portrays the Lord

Pushkar

Rajasthan. It is located just 12 kms from The Ajmer city, which is well

Ranthambore
:: Ranthambore is a national park and tiger reserve in
Rajasthan state of western India. It is located in Sawai Madhopur district
of southeastern Rajasthan.
Sariska
:: Sariska has an Indian National Park located in the Alwar
District of the state of Rajasthan. It is originally a hunting preserve of
the erstwhile Alwar state. Sariska has a rich natural heritage with some

Siliserh
