Poovar Island Resort is beautifully nestled on the
bank of a lovelly lake. Owned and operated by Floatels India Pvt Ltd., Floatels India Pvt Ltd., is
the first company to have introduced and implemented the concept of Floating
Structures in india. The company has also undertaken several tourism
projects for the Department of Tourism, Government of Kerala, viz., double
deck Floating Restaurant at Veli Tourist Village, floating boat jetties at
various back water tourist spots, etc.
At Poovar we take pride in the state of the art kitchen we have
installed. It is an ideal venue to satiate every gastronomic need. There is
a choice of western, Asian and Indian cuisine to choose from at our coffee
Shop - Tiffins.

ACCOMMODATION
Poovar Island Resort have a choice of traditionally styled land cottages or
more exotic floating cottages and if living in style is your cup of tea, opt
for the recently launched Deluxe Floating Villas.
Land Cottages:
Rooms centrally air-conditioned and fitted out with direct dial telephones,
television with cable connectivity, mini bar and attached bath with hot &
cold water. The ground floor rooms have a large private verandah facing the
coconut groves.
Floating Cottages:
Rooms air conditioned and fitted out with direct dial telephones, television
with cable, mini bar and tea / coffee maker, attached toilet with shower
closet and a private balcony overlooking the backwaters & Sea.
Deluxe Floating Villas:
This is a suite consisting of a living room and a bedroom. The entire
cottage has one wall in glass overlooking the estuary & beach and with a
large sit-out to enjoy a sundowner! Rooms full air-conditioned with pull-out
bed in the living room for families, tea/coffee maker, mini bar and attached
toilet with shower closet. Toilets well equipped with all modern amenities
including hair dryers and shaving mirrors. Standard amenities includes
complimentary breakfast service in rooms, arrival and departure transfers
from the airport / railway station, daily fruit basket replenishment and
evening snack service and complimentary soft bar.
