The Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace Hotel located at the bank of
Fateh Sagar lake enjoys a picturesque view of the lakes, Aravalli Hills and
Sajjangarh Palace. The hotel was built by Maharana Bhupal Singh originally
in 1911 as a residence of Mr.Winn Gate political agent at that time and in
1945 Mr.Winngate was shifted to Hathi Pole and the palace was rebuilt as a
royal guest house to house the dignitaries, visiting princes and British
officers. In 1966 the palace was transferred to DOT and in 1969 it was
handed over to ITDC. Ever since it was run under the banner of Ashok Group
of Hotels.
The hotel expanded in two phases, firstly in 1977, 23 rooms were added to
the existing 11 and in 1984, 20 more were added, thus taking total number of
rooms to 54 (43 regular rooms and 11 suites) the banquet hall was also added
during this period.

ACCOMMODATION
The Lalit Laxmi Vials Palace has total 55 elegantly
appointed guestrooms including 11 Royal Suites, 3 Executive
Suites and 41 Deluxe Suites. All the rooms are centrally
air-conditioned and well furnished. The rooms offer marvelous
view of Fateh Sagar Lake and the city. The room amenities
includes attached baths,
hot & cold water, refrigerator, telephone, color TV. Maharani
and Maharaja suites are equipped with jacuzzis.
SERVICES & FACILITIES
The Lalit Laxmi Vilas Palace, Udaipur has a multi functional Conference Hall well
equipped with all the modern day business requirements facilities like fax
machine, photocopier, PC printer, Internet and E-mail access. The Hall can
accommodate upto 120 people at a time. The Lawns and Pool site are ideal for
big outdoor banquets and parties.
The Laxmi Vilas Palace Palace offers a variety of fitness and recreational
activities to its guests. It has a well-maintained swimming pool that
provides ideal conditions for sun bathing during winters. The hotel also has
facilities for indoor as well as outdoor games such as badminton, lawn
tennis and table tennis. The spacious lawns can be ideal for jogging and
